Lokum Sans,
Exhibition, West Wall
Purdue University
2009

The exhibition Lokum Sans was held in the visual and performing arts building at Purdue University. The gallery space was organized to give a two-dimensional open space for both display and text size types. The exhibition aimed to convey the diverse use of Lokum Sans through forms varying from macro to micro aesthetics. Vinyl lettering was used as a creative medium to display the typeface in various scales. Enlarged gray forms from various punctuation marks, letters and numbers were re-arranged to create the circular flow of the typeface. A video piece, displayed the creation of the typeface from the sketch to the offset printing process. Prints produced in the video were put on a black stand in the corner of the West wall to display the clarity of offset printed type.
